We had an awesome birthday bash on Saturday afternoon. Ruby has been so excited and talking about it for the last few weeks. I am not sure she really knew what to expect though... I think she just thought that her birthday party WAS her cake. It was really fun to see friends and family and to have them there to celebrate her special day. And a big thanks to my awesome sister Laura for all of her help.
My friend Amy made this stellar cake. Ruby was in awe... watching her make the final touches. She was really excited to blow out the candles... and blew them out about half-way through the song! I wish I would have recorded it.
She could not resist opening this "Belle, it's not a nightgown, dress" without putting it right on.
Cute Peacock Molly definitely wins for "Cutest Costume."

I love your parent's backyard! What a fantastic location for a birthday party. But when did they get the swing set? I hadn't seen that yet. Super fun!

So sad we missed it. Looks so very pleasant. And that cake is seriously AMAZING.
