jackson 2011

We spent the weekend of the 4th with my family up in Jackson, Wyoming. Well, actually we camped at some tent cabins about 30 minutes north of Jackson at Colter Bay. I have the best memories of camping up there when I was little. It is the perfect place to camp. You rent out these little cabins that are basically a room with two bunk beds (2 log walls, 2 canvas walls), and a covered porch area for eating/cooking/whatever, and a fire pit. There are also bathrooms about 50 yards away... so you don't have to completely rough it. Last time we camped up there I was about 7 months pregnant with Ruby... and of course, I was again... 7 months pregnant this time. Despite that discomfort, we had a blast. It was so fun to hang with my family and watch all of the little cousins run around playing their various games. Ruby does not have any cousins (on my side) that live near to play with, so it is really a treat to hang with her Claflin cousins.

After the parade, we wandered onto this cute church carnival fundraiser where we spent the afternoon. There were lots of games/activites for the kids. I guess it was the place to be because we spotted this "star" (Josh Holloway, "Sawyer" from LOST) taking in the festivities! Adam was star-struck.
