cowabunga

Cowabunga Bay has been our home away from this summer. We bought super cheap season passes last summer and have definitely gotten our $'s worth. It is really close to our house and it has been so nice to be able to go there for even just an hour if we need something to do or if I feel like Ruby needs a little extra exercise. We started the summer off a little timid... just hanging in the gradual entry pool and lazy river. But about halfway through the summer... something clicked in Ruby and she is now a little dare-devil. Going down most of the slides... some she is not even tall enough to go on! Lately, being super preggo... I have just been enjoying watching her go up and down the slides from my comfortable beach chair! It is kind of funny, I think she thinks she owns the place or something because she constantly just by-passes fairly long lines on each slide... she goes right up to the life guard and they let her go down the slide without waiting! I guess I will save that lesson for another day!

She likes to "cast spells" on me with her imaginary Hermione wand when she sees me at the bottom of the slides. This girls imagination is always going in full force.

We have also enjoyed a bunch of play-dates with friends this summer. Here is a pic of Ruby and Kaleigh heading for the slides. Thanks for the photo Emily!
